Revolut enters the Turkish market - transfer from "Hepsiburada"

Global fintech giant Revolut has officially confirmed its long-rumored plans to enter the Turkish market by appointing its first local executive. Experienced manager Erkin Aydın has been named Revolut Türkiye Country Director.

Aydın, who spent the past three years leading Hepsiburada’s financial services group, previously worked for 14 years at QNB Finansbank, where he also served on the bank’s board of directors. At Hepsiburada, he headed the company’s financial services arm as CEO, overseeing products such as Hepsipay and Hepsifinans.

This appointment is seen as the clearest signal yet that Revolut, which has been assessing Türkiye as a potential market for over a year, is preparing to launch operations in the country.

Industry observers expect Erkin Aydın to lead Revolut’s efforts in:

managing relationships with local financial regulators,

building strategic partnerships,

adapting and localizing products for the Turkish market.

The exact timing and model of Revolut’s official launch in Türkiye, however, remain undisclosed.
