The WaterTech Bootcamp took place on 5–8 September at the Training and Innovation Center of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency. It was a 4-day training and hackathon program about the use of artificial intelligence and innovative technologies in water management. The official opening was held on 5 September.
From 305 applicants, 60 young participants were selected to join the Bootcamp. They are learning both theory and practice, working in teams to create technological solutions for real problems. At the end of the program, the best ideas will be chosen by a jury. The winners will get awards and opportunities to develop their projects.
The Bootcamp is organized by the Scientific Research Institute of Water and Melioration and SUP VC, with support from the EU4ClimateResilience project. The project is financed by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), and implemented by GIZ and OECD.
The WaterTech Bootcamp is not only a place to improve knowledge and skills but also a platform that encourages teamwork, creativity, and sustainable development.
