Stape, a fintech service, has secured $1 million in investment, marking a new phase in its growth. The company will use the investments to strengthen its marketing activities, expand payment integrations, and enter new markets.
Founded in November 2023 by entrepreneur Aleksey Chistyakov and his "technical team members," Stape offers a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that facilitates payments worldwide for freelancers and contractors. The service allows clients to make payments in dollars, euros, rubles, and cryptocurrencies, with a fixed commission of $50 per transaction.
The company's main office is located in the United States, with branches in Russia, the UAE, and Hong Kong. Currently, Stape serves over 200 clients, including companies from Kuwait, Australia, Singapore, the United States, and other countries. Although the company has not disclosed its financial revenue or profit, it stated that by the end of 2023, the project generated a total turnover of approximately 1 billion rubles (based on the current exchange rate) and has already achieved positive operational results.
Stape's future plans include enabling payments in more than 30 local currencies of developing countries and expanding into new markets, including the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. By the end of 2025, the company aims to achieve $20 million in international revenue. Additionally, Stape plans to capture 10% of the Russian cross-border payment market within the next two years.
Among Stape’s investors is Yegor Guriyev, known for founding the Playkey cloud gaming service, which was sold to VK in 2021. The names of other investors have not been disclosed. The founders of Stape initially invested around $200,000 into the project. With the newly secured investments, the company is now ready to further expand its payment services and enter new markets.
These developments provide Stape with a significant opportunity to strengthen its position in the global fintech market and attract new clients.
