Netflix and Spotify have signed a major partnership agreement.
The music and podcast platform Netflix has announced that it has begun cooperation with Spotify. According to the agreement, starting in early 2026, Netflix users in the United States will be able to watch selected video podcasts produced by Spotify Studios and The Ringer.
According to Netflix, 16 video podcasts will initially be added to the platform. These podcasts will cover sports, culture and "true-crime" genres. What is particularly noteworthy is that these 16 podcasts will be shown ad-free, even for users of Netflix's ad-free subscription packages.
As part of the cooperation, it is planned to launch the podcasts in other countries and expand the list with additional shows. However, according to the terms of the deal, these video podcasts will not be allowed to be published on the YouTube platform.
However, The New York Times notes that "Good Hang With Amy Poehler," one of Spotify's most popular shows, is not included in the partnership. Neither company disclosed the financial details of the deal or the revenue-sharing mechanism.
