Telegram has officially launched its monetization program

Messenger has announced that from March 31, 2024, channel owners with more than 1,000 subscribers will receive 50% of the revenue from advertising displayed on them.
The revenue will be paid in the Toncoin cryptocurrency, which runs on the TON blockchain. The user can withdraw it without commission or pay for ads, collection addresses for Telegram Premium subscriptions.
To drive the monetization program, the messenger has launched ads that can be paid for using Toncoin. They will not be shown to users in some countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Palestine and Israel.
