Tesla's new generation humanoid robot "Optimus Gen 2" has been presented. Tesla Bot, which was first introduced last year, did not attract much attention with its previous version. However, the company has further developed its robot with an updated model called Gen 2.
Optimus Gen 2 offers significant improvements in speed, lightness, fluidity and capability. 30 percent faster than the previous model, this robot has a more humanoid design and mobility. It features a two-axis neck, integrated electronics and cable management, articulated legs, and new hands with touch sensors. Thanks to the touch sensors on all his fingers, he can manipulate objects more precisely.
One of the notable features of the Optimus Gen 2 is its 11 degrees of free-motion hands and faster gears. The robot itself is 10 percent lighter and more aerodynamic. Thanks to this, he can move more balanced and fluently.

Tesla plans to use an improved version of this robot, especially in its manufacturing processes. If the robot can be used effectively in daily manufacturing operations, Tesla is considering bringing the Optimus Gen 2 to a wider market.
