A New Strategy for Uzbekistan's Digital Future
A new decision on the Development Strategy of Artificial Intelligence until 2030 was adopted by the President of Uzbekistan. This important step aims to accelerate the digital development of the country and ensure that Uzbekistan reaches a leading position in the global technology sector.
The strategy, as part of the "Digital Uzbekistan – 2030" program, is aimed at modernization of public services, promotion of innovation and sustainable development of various sectors.
The main goals until 2030:
- Generate $1.5 billion in revenue from products and services based on artificial intelligence technologies.
- Increasing the share of AI-based services on the myGov platform to 10%.
- Creation of 10 research laboratories and commissioning of high-performance computing systems.
- Ranking Uzbekistan among the top 50 countries in the Government's Artificial Intelligence Readiness Index.
Strategic directions:
- Create a strong legal framework for digital technologies and strengthen international partnerships.
- Expand infrastructure for new technologies in public services and industry.
- To increase digital literacy and prepare skilled personnel for the future.
Main areas of application:
- Financial sector: prevent fraud and improve credit assessments.
- Customs and tax systems: managing risks and reducing the shadow economy.
- Healthcare: support in the areas of diagnostics and patient care.
- Agriculture: optimizing crop forecasts and resource management.
- Energy sector: optimizing energy production and expanding the use of renewable sources.
This strategy will further accelerate the digital transformation of Uzbekistan and contribute to the sustainable development of the country in various fields.
