The implementation of the Decree No. 718 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the “Establishment of the Government Cloud (G-Cloud) and Measures for Providing Cloud Services” continues.
In accordance with the requirements of the Decree, another state body – the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan – has migrated its IT systems to the Government Cloud. The Ministry’s information systems and backups have been fully transferred to the Baku Main Data Center, owned by “AzInTelecom” LLC.
“AzInTelecom” has provided the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources with Virtual Server – IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and Backup – BaaS (Backup-as-a-Service) cloud services. This ensures high availability of the Ministry’s critical systems.
About the Government Cloud
The Government Cloud project is implemented by “AzInTelecom” LLC, a company under AZCON Holding. Within the project, the IT systems of state bodies are fully or partially migrated to data centers operated by “AzInTelecom” LLC. As a result of the migration, the IT costs of the institutions decrease, their information systems are stored in a centralized location within the country, and are monitored 24/7.
