The operating licenses of Turkish banks have been revoked

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has revoked the operating licenses of Aypara (iPara), Pay Fix, and İninal companies within the framework of an investigation into illegal gambling activities. This decision was made based on the companies' operations being in violation of Law No. 6493 on Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions.

In September 2024, the CBRT imposed administrative and financial measures on Pay Fix, suspended some of its payment services, and applied an administrative fine. In the following months, an operation was carried out against 59 individuals, resulting in the arrest of 21 people, including Erkan Kork, the founder of Aypara. Additionally, the government appointed temporary administrators (trustees) to these companies.

With this decision, the operating licenses of Aypara (iPara), Pay Fix, and İninal for providing payment services have been completely revoked. This move is part of the CBRT's policy to ensure compliance with regulations in the payment services sector and to prevent illegal financial operations.
