Token operations are widely used in Azerbaijan with the support of international card organizations.
This was said by Farid Osmanov, CEO of the Central Bank, during his speech at the VII International Banking Forum.
He said that payments through "Apple Pay" and "Google Pay" payment channels have been activated. In 9 months of this year, the volume of token transactions in Azerbaijan reached 1.9-2 billion manats. The share of token payments in post terminal transactions reached 27%. He said that more mobile devices were preferred in contactless payments.
