"Spectre makes its debut in Azerbaijan: A historic moment for "Rolls-Royce Motor Car Baku." The extravagant Spectre electric car was introduced in Baku. Spectre, an ultra-luxury electric super coupe, stands out with its elegant design and innovation.
(®) Spectre heralds a new era for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and the beginning of a fully electric phase for the brand. The announcement of the fully electric Rolls-Royce in 2021 marked a significant moment in the history of luxury automotive. Since then, Spectre has embarked on an exciting journey, completing a rigorous testing program of more than 2.5 million kilometers with engineers dedicating 50,000 hours in the driver's seat to analyze and fine-tune its driving characteristics.
"The moment Spectre was first announced until its arrival in Baku, it generated great excitement. Today, we are delighted to welcome Spectre to our home," said Bayram Yaqubov, the CEO of "Improtex Motors."
The debut of Spectre in Azerbaijan's capital was highly anticipated.
Fergus Auld, the British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, expressed, "Rolls-Royce is a British success story, and the iconic 'Spirit of Ecstasy' emblem sets it apart from other British symbols. It is a pleasure to see this magnificent new Rolls-Royce model on display in Baku, and I am proud that we can showcase the best of British design, engineering, and manufacturing to our friends in Azerbaijan."
Rolls-Royce is creating a new chapter in the world of luxury with Spectre, an ultra-luxury electric super coupe that combines elegance and innovation. Spectre, with its extraordinary presence, now boasts the largest radiator grille ever fitted to a Rolls-Royce, with the "Pantheon" radiator grilles now being installed in a more streamlined and flat shape, allowing for direct passage of air to the front of the car. Spectre's remarkable proportions and sharp silhouette evoke memories of some of the most iconic cars and ships in history. The flawless design of the glass canopy helps achieve a remarkable 0.25 coefficient of friction, a significant achievement for Rolls-Royce.
The "Spirit of Ecstasy" figurine, with 830 hours of design modeling and wind tunnel testing, has been aerodynamically enhanced.
The perfection of the unembellished exterior design continues in Spectre's unparalleled interior. Inspired by the infinite mystique of the night sky, Spectre is equipped with the most technologically advanced features in Bespoke, featuring 4,796 illuminated stars in its "Starlight" doors. The car doors have also been meticulously placed at a 55-degree angle under the single wood veneer "Canadel Panelling" to give a sensation of movement in the vehicle.
Rolls-Royce engineers achieved additional advantages with the "Architecture of Luxury," which forms the basis of the Rolls-Royce model series, made entirely of aluminum. The dedicated and integrated aluminum partitions for the electric drivetrain and the integration of the battery into the car's structure allow it to be up to 30% stiffer than previous Rolls-Royce models. The agility of the "Architecture of Luxury" also allowed engineers to place the floor not higher or lower but in the middle of the window sills, creating a channel between the floor and the battery for cables and climate control pipes, which is then covered by the battery, ensuring a seamless floor profile.
Spectre is the most digital Rolls-Royce to date, with engineers using the revolutionary "Decentralized Discovery" system among over 1,000 car functions to enable free and direct information exchange. This enhances the brand's renowned driving experience.
More than 1,500 hours of testing have been devoted to improving Spectre's regenerative driving feel, making the car effortlessly responsive while maintaining regenerative effects. During testing on the Côte d'Azur, the digital integration of the renowned Planar suspension system in Spectre was completed, with the latest software and hardware developments providing precise reactions to driver inputs and road conditions. The driving experience that sets Rolls-Royce apart has been further enhanced by the position of the battery, providing not only a lower seating position but also almost 700 kg of additional sound insulation.
"Spectre possesses all the qualities for which Rolls-Royce is known worldwide - silence, agility, and how perfectly it aligns with Rolls-Royce's electrification journey. Frank Tiemann, Corporate Communications Director for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Central/Eastern Europe and Central Asia, expressed at the presentation ceremony at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku that this represents a statement of Rolls-Royce's journey towards a fully electric future and a symbol of a bright and bold future."
