With the support of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, TikTok has launched the #TikTokdanOyren project.

The goal of the project is to support the development of educational content in Azerbaijan and to create an opportunity for users from all over the country to share their knowledge and expand their horizons in a convenient short video format.

Within the project, TikTok users who create the best educational content videos will win an iPhone as a reward from the platform.

TikTok is the leading platform for viewing and creating short videos, where more than 1 billion users from all over the world log in every day not only to have fun, but also to learn something new. Interest in educational content on TikTok has increased significantly in the last few years both in the world and in Azerbaijan. So, last year, the #kitabfest literary project attracted the attention of viewers, within the framework of this project, users from all over Azerbaijan shared book recommendations, discussed their favorite literary works, talked about their impressions from the National Book Fair held in Baku, and encouraged each other to read more.

Educational content lovers from all over the world are already connecting the #LearnOnTikTok hashtag to millions of educational videos. Using this hashtag, users teach foreign languages, share lifehacks, beauty tutorials, delicious recipes and other knowledge and skills.

Today, TikTok introduces the #LearnOnTikTok initiative, inspired by the global phenomenon #LearnOnTikTok and aimed at supporting the community of users in Azerbaijan to learn and expand their horizons through TikTok. As part of the initiative, users are invited to share useful and educational videos using the project hashtag on a variety of topics: from household lifehacks, style and beauty tips, culinary recipes and fitness tutorials to scientific knowledge, lessons on various subjects and culture videos. Users can participate in the competition for the best videos in three categories: "The most creative video" - the video in which the participant presents the material in the most creative way, "The best video" - the video with the most views during the competition period, "Discover on TikTok" during the competition period creative author with the most views among all participating videos.

Winners in each category will receive an iPhone smartphone from TikTok. To participate in the contest, users must make an educational video of at least 30 seconds in accordance with the theme of the contest and post it on their account with the hashtag #LearnfromTikTok from February 21 to April 21.

The winners will be announced on the project's TikTok page by April 30.

The initiative to create the project was supported by the Ministry of Culture, and leading cultural institutions of Azerbaijan, including museums and theaters, participate in the project. For example, the National History Museum of Azerbaijan displays exhibits from its collections, the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan talks about exhibitions, and the National Carpet Museum of Azerbaijan organizes short virtual tours. The State Academic Russian Drama Theater shows users how plays are created, the State Young Spectators Theater shows how actors rehearse, the State Academic National Drama Theater shows how actors prepare for a play, from make-up to mastering the role, and the actors of the State Academic Musical Theater share how their work is structured.

"Supporting TikTok-related projects allows us to reach a wide audience and actively connect with modern forms of cultural expression. It also promotes diversity and innovation in the cultural sector by adapting to modern trends and society's interests. The project as a whole combines the cultural heritage and creative ideas of Azerbaijan with TikTok. can create unique opportunities to connect on its platform, make the content more accessible and attractive to the local audience. The TikTok platform is a center of creativity and innovation. Cooperation can stimulate the creation of attractive and creative content that reflects the culture and interests of the Azerbaijani audience," said the Ministry of Culture's Media and Aynur Karimova, head of the communication department, said.

"We see that more and more users in Azerbaijan are entering TikTok not only to have fun and have a good time, but also to learn new things and get useful information. We hope that the #LearnfromTikTok project will inspire even more talented creators from all over the country to spread knowledge, culture, share information and inspire the development of users in the country," said Yekaterina Blinets, head of TikTok's operations department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Note that TikTok is a leading short video app. The goal is to inspire people to be creative and give them joy.
