Turan launches cashless money transfer service to certain countries of Europe

Local fintek Turan, which allows Turkish citizens to transfer money between countries, has launched a commission-free money transfer service through its mobile application to all banks in Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands and Hungary.

The startup, which aims to build 100% digital, secure money transfer corridors between European and Turkish States, has more than 400 thousand users in its niche target market. The startup, which has reached almost half a million user bases in just 20 months, launched its first international money transfer initiative with Azerbaijan in January 2023. In the same year, it also offered its users the feature of transferring money to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and the TRNC.

The application, which adds Europe to the list of countries where money transfer can be made in cooperation with PayPorter, aims to become a financial bridge between Turkestan and Europe and to become a joint intercontinental financial application of the Turks.

Turan founder and general director Özgür Bayraktar said: "21. in the century, Turkish States will reach their potential to become an important regional power due to their strategic position, Rich Energy Resources and strong cultural ties. To realize this potential, it is extremely important to strengthen regional cooperation. Turkish unity is impossible without unity in the economic, financial and commercial spheres. Our motto here is the poem "unity in Language, thought, work" by Gaspireli Ismail. Our main goal is to ensure that every Turk who lives in the world can make financial transactions that transcend borders by reaching our application and becoming an additional element of the vision of "here is unity". In this sense, our European discovery, which we are implementing together with Payporter today, is very strategic for us," he said.

In addition to European expansion, another statement came from Turan's cooperation with United Payment. Turan, which acts as a representative of United Payment in Azerbaijan as well as in Turkey, announced that it will introduce the”wallet-to-Wallet “Money Transfer feature between the two countries in the third quarter of 2024.
