Samsung and Turkish Airlines have launched a new service called Smart Tagged Baggage Service, built on the SmartThings Find platform, starting December 1, 2025.
Thanks to this service, Turkish Airlines will be able to search for lost luggage more efficiently. If the passenger adds a location link to the Galaxy SmartTag placed in the luggage to the loss report, the airline will be able to locate the luggage faster.
Passengers can also replace the SmartTag device image with a photo of their suitcase or bag in the SmartThings Find application. This will significantly speed up the luggage identification process.
Samsung plans to establish such partnerships with other airlines in the near future, but specific names have not been disclosed.
It should be noted that in 2024, Apple also allowed external links to be shared for the location information of AirTag trackers. This feature also helps airlines find lost luggage faster.
