Cypher Games, a mobile game studio, has raised a $30 million investment to reinforce its position in the mobile gaming market. The Series A funding round was led by The Raine Group and Play Ventures, bringing the studio’s total funding since its founding in 2022 to $44 million. The round also included participation from prominent investors such as MIT Endowment and Big Bets.
The studio’s immediate goal is to officially launch its first game, “Match Squad,” in the U.S. market. The game combines a match-3 gameplay structure (matching three identical elements) with dice-rolling mechanics.
In addition to launching the game, Cypher Games plans to use the new funds to expand its team, currently 55 members strong, and move into a new office. The company’s long-term objective is to begin development of a second game with a strong artistic focus by early 2027.
Anıl Şimşek, CEO of Cypher Games, emphasized that their sole goal is to create the world’s leading mobile game. Investors, in turn, highlighted the studio’s world-class vision in art and design and its ability to attract Turkey’s top talent. They expressed admiration for the team’s commitment to quality and continuous development.
