US-based transportation and delivery giant Uber has reportedly begun negotiations to acquire Trendyol Go. Sources speaking to Bloomberg said that the negotiations are still ongoing and a binding agreement has not yet been signed.
At the same time, the sources noted that there is a possibility that the agreement will not be completed at the end of this stage.
Neither Uber nor Trendyol have made any official statements regarding the information released yet.
It should be noted that Trendyol Go entered the fast-growing fast-food delivery sector in 2020 with the pandemic. Trendyol, owned by the Chinese Alibaba group, offers users the opportunity to order food and grocery products within minutes through this service.
Trendyol Go, which operates with a restaurant and partner network, has quickly become one of the most used applications in Turkey with its wide user base.
