Uber intends to turn Istanbul into a strategic global hub for its operations. The company announced that it will invest $200 million over five years as part of the “Uber Istanbul Delivery Center” project.
The project aims to develop new business models and technological solutions in Istanbul and, if successful, to ensure their application worldwide. This means that the models to be created in Turkey can guide Uber’s global operations in the future.

According to Uber’s statement, Istanbul will serve as the company’s innovation and logistics center in the coming years. It is planned to improve both Uber Eats delivery services and develop artificial intelligence-based management systems here.
With this initiative, the company aims to create new job opportunities in Turkey and contribute to the development of the local technology ecosystem.
