X (Twitter) has enabled verification with a personal identity card. Currently, the test is only available to X Premium subscribers. To go through the procedure, you need to send documents and a selfie. To verify the information, they collaborate with the Israeli company Au10tix through social networks and can retain user data for up to 30 days.
Verified profiles will receive "priority access" to X support. In the future, those who complete the process will receive a verification sign shortly after subscribing and will be able to change their profile ID, name, and picture without losing verification.
Passport verification is available in many countries, but which ones are currently unclear. It is known that EU countries and the United Kingdom are not included in the list. This is likely related to data protection laws in the region.
