Mike Liberatore, the chief financial officer of Elon Musk’s AI company xAI, resigned at the end of July. This marks the latest in a series of high-level executive departures from the company.
Liberatore, who joined xAI in April after working at Airbnb, helped the company raise $5 billion in debt and $5 billion in equity capital. He also oversaw the expansion of the company's data center in Memphis.
His departure follows the exits of other key leaders, including head of legal Robert Keele and legal counsel Raghu Rao. Additionally, xAI co-founder Igor Babuschkin left the company last month to start his own AI safety project.
Furthermore, Linda Yaccarino, the former CEO of X, also resigned in July due to concerns about the unusual behavior of xAI's "Grok" AI chatbot. xAI had acquired X at the end of March.
