Xiaomi has officially unveiled its second electric car, the YU7 crossover. Sales of the model are expected to start in June or July 2025.
The YU7 is equipped with two electric motors, one with a power of 220 kW at the front and the other with a power of 288 kW at the rear. Together, these motors produce 508 kW (681 hp). The maximum speed of the car is 253 km/h. The dimensions of the crossover are 4999 mm long, 1996 mm wide and 1600 mm high. Its wheelbase is 3000 mm, and the total weight is 2405 kg.
The YU7's battery is provided by CATL, but the battery capacity has not yet been disclosed. The design of the car is reminiscent of the Ferrari Purosangue model: it is distinguished by an aerodynamic body, a long hood and a curved window line. Earlier, Xiaomi introduced its first electric sedan, the SU7. The model has been a huge success, with sales of over 100,000 units by November 2024.
With the launch of the YU7, Xiaomi plans to strengthen its position in the electric car market and compete with brands like Tesla. The model is expected to be priced in the range of 250,000–350,000 yuan (approximately 3,300,000–4,700,000 rubles).
