YouTube has officially banned ad blockers

YouTube has officially implemented a global policy banning the use of ad blockers worldwide. The platform took the step to support content creators and provide billions of users with access to diverse content, stating that using ad blockers violates its Terms of Service.

YouTube users using ad blockers will now be prompted with a warning message when trying to use such software. They need to disable these blockers to continue watching videos. Alternatively, YouTube users are advised to subscribe to YouTube Premium, which offers an ad-free viewing experience.

This policy aims to ensure that ads support content creators and that content is accessible to a wide audience. Considering YouTube's huge user base and popularity, it's safe to say that this policy is important. YouTube has reportedly launched a global effort aimed at supporting both user experience and creators.
