At its annual MAX conference, Adobe Firefly announced updates to its generative AI service models. According to the company, Firefly Image 2 is better than previous models in creating human images, including facial features, skin, body and hands. In addition, images produced using the Firefly Image 2 model have higher resolution and more vivid colors and color contrast.
Adobe also said that Firefly users have created three billion images in about six months, and one billion of those images were created last month alone.
The Image 2 model also introduces new AI-powered editing features to help users customize their results. Image settings can be applied to manually or automatically adjust the depth of field, motion blur, and field of view of the displayed image, such as manual camera control. It is also shared that a feature has been added to help users improve the language of text descriptions and auto-complete prompts to improve efficiency.
Adobe also introduced a new "Generative Match" feature, which affects the style of content displayed according to specific images. From here, users can choose from a list of pre-selected images or upload their own reference to copy the style. It can also check how close the similarity is.
Firefly Image 2 is currently available for testing via the web-based Firefly beta and will be coming to Creative Cloud apps soon.
