Airbnb has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. Although the company's revenue increased by 18 percent year-on-year, it was reported that the war in the Middle East and regional tensions had a negative impact on the business.
The company's net profit amounted to $ 160 million. The total booking value increased by 19 percent to $ 29.2 billion. At the same time, the number of nights and places booked increased by 9 percent to 156.2 million, exceeding analyst forecasts.
Airbnb noted that the war with Iran is weakening demand in the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific regions. The company attributed this to increased reservation cancellations, flight problems and uncertainty in the region.
However, Airbnb increased its revenue forecast for the second quarter, announcing that it will be in the range of $ 3.54-3.60 billion. The company also raised its annual revenue growth forecast.
