Payment platform Alipay, owned by Chinese financial technology company Ant Group, has launched a new artificial intelligence platform for developers called AI Open Platform. The company announced that starting July 7, the platform will begin a test phase for corporate developers who join by invitation only.
The new platform allows companies and various organizations to integrate artificial intelligence functions into their services, as well as connect these services with Alipay's AI assistant Abao. Under Alipay's "dual approach" model, developers will be able to turn their services into interfaces that AI systems can use directly. At the same time, mini-programs that are not updated will also continue to work with the user's permission through AI screen reading technology.
The platform also supports uniform presentation of services across different devices. Partners will be able to deliver their services to a wide audience with a single integration on various platforms such as smartphones, car systems, AI glasses, Internet of Things (IoT) devices and large language models.
Alipay said the main goal of the new platform is to enable partner companies to provide AI-based services to the app's more than 1 billion users more quickly and efficiently.
