Kerri Edwards, who lives in the U.S., used ChatGPT to pick lottery numbers and won $150,000 (approximately 255,000 AZN), according to the New York Post.
To choose her numbers, she asked the AI a simple question: “ChatGPT, do you have numbers for me?” The AI generated five numbers between 1 and 69 for the Powerball lottery.
Initially, Kerri matched four out of the five numbers, which would have earned her $50,000. However, she opted to pay an extra dollar for the “Power Play” feature, which tripled her winnings to $150,000.
The lucky woman rarely plays online lotteries and did not expect such a big win. A few days after the draw, she received a notification about her prize.
Kerri Edwards decided to donate a portion of her unexpected winnings to charity. One-third will go to the Brain Forward Degeneration Foundation, another third to Shalom Farms, which focuses on food justice, and the rest to the U.S. Navy Charity Society.
She explained her decision: “I was given such a divine stroke of luck, and I want it to serve as an example of how people can positively impact others around them.”
