Apple faces MacBook Air supply issues due to memory chip shortage

Apple is facing serious problems with the supply of MacBook Air models due to a global shortage of memory chips. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported this, citing sources.

According to the information, the company is having difficulty maintaining stocks in warehouses, and MacBook Air shipments have fallen to the most limited level in recent years. Apple's official website also indicates that some basic MacBook Air models will be shipped only in late August 2026, and some versions in September.

It is reported that the main reason for the delays is the shortage of memory chips. To eliminate the problem, Apple plans to purchase memory components from local suppliers, especially for devices sold in the Chinese market.

It should be noted that the company also increased the prices of a number of its products in June. The starting price of the MacBook Air has increased from $ 1,099 to $ 1,299, and the price of the 14-inch MacBook Pro has increased from $ 1,699 to $ 1,999.
