Apple is creating a rival search engine to Google

As you know, Google pays Apple 8-12 billion dollars a year. This payment is to make Google search the default search engine for iPhone. According to new information, Apple is trying to create a rival search engine to Google.

It turned out that Apple created a special team to create a search engine. It plans to further strengthen its ecosystem with a search engine codenamed Pegasus.

Still, Apple already uses its own search service on Apple TV and Maps. The Pegasus project is currently under the direction of John Giannandrea, Apple's senior president of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
According to this information shared by Bloomberg Technology writer Mark Gurman, it looks like we will have to wait a long time for the Pegasus search engine.

In this way, Apple intends to differentiate itself from its Google rival Pegasus in its ecosystem. But for now, the high fee from Google is one of the obstacles for the company to take action. Experts believe that with this step, Apple can easily get the same amount of advertising revenue as Google.
