Apple is working on new versions of the more affordable models of the iPad family, iPad Air and iPad mini. According to reports from research firm Omdia, the company plans to use OLED display panels in these new models. While the current iPad Pro models use an IPS display panel, the transition to OLED is expected in the new models.
Apple is expected to partner with LG and Samsung to supply OLED display panels for these new iPad Air and iPad mini models, which are slated to launch in 2026.
The new iPad Pro model will appear in 2026 with important innovations in terms of design. The new version of the iPad Pro, which was presented in 2018 and did not undergo significant changes in its design, will be equipped with a larger OLED screen and Apple's M3 chip. Apple is expected to make more innovations and changes regarding the iPad series.
