Artificial rain could be implemented in Azerbaijan

A large-scale project on the implementation of artificial rain technology is being launched in Azerbaijan. The news was reported by the Report agency and announced within the framework of the “Baku Water Week.” It was stated that the project is still in its initial phase, with feasibility studies and pilot tests being planned.

Project Stages and Notes

By the end of 2025, the project’s technical and economic feasibility studies, as well as all documentation, will be completed. This stage is essential for identifying the regions where the project will be carried out and determining the technology to be used.

In 2026, the first pilot project of artificial rain technology will be implemented. During this phase, the most suitable areas will be selected, and test operations will be conducted.

In 2027, the first full-scale pilot project is expected to be executed.

The project’s success will depend on resolving a number of complex technical and logistical issues. Artificial rain technology is a challenging field that requires the coordination of meteorological, hydrological, and engineering parameters. For the pilot project to succeed, factors such as climate, soil, water resources, and environmental impacts must be carefully evaluated.

In addition, issues such as financing, the provision of necessary technological equipment, and infrastructure compatibility are among the key priorities. Once these stages are successfully completed, the application of artificial rain technology in Azerbaijan is expected to expand further.
