For the first time in Azerbaijan, the “AYNA MaaS” application has been launched by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency.
Available in three languages (Azerbaijani, English, and Russian), the “AYNA MaaS” app is a mobility platform designed to ensure efficient travel, provide users with options for different modes of transportation, and improve public transport services. This digital transport platform integrates various transportation types—bus, metro, railway, scooter, and bicycle—into a single app. It allows users to choose the most suitable route, plan trips, access payment methods, and receive real-time information on schedules and vehicle arrival times.
All micromobility operators in Baku are integrated into the app. Through the platform, users can locate micromobility stations, check available scooters, and rent scooters or bicycles.
To register, users enter their mobile number, review the terms and conditions, and enter a confirmation code sent via SMS. They then set a password to complete registration.
In the “Trip Plan” section, users can plan their journey from point A to B by selecting date and time. Suggested routes may include walking, bus, metro, railway, scooter, or bicycle. Users can select routes based on “Fastest”, “Fewest transfers”, “Least walking”, or “Lowest CO2” criteria. Payment can be made through the “Buy Ticket” section via linked applications.
The “Transport” section allows users to select stations and view approaching vehicles in real time. In the “Nearby Stations” section, users can see a list of nearby stops and select them on the map. The “Find Route” section enables searching for bus, train, metro, and intercity routes. Routes can be added to “Favorites” for easier planning, and past trips can be accessed in “My Trips”.
The “AYNA MaaS” app continuously updates transport schedules and vehicle availability. It ensures seamless transfers between transportation modes and minimizes waiting times.
The launched version is the initial release and will be continuously improved based on user feedback, which can be submitted directly through the app. The application is available for download on both App Store and Google Play Store.
