Azerbaijan has become the center of attention in Central Asia in the field of technology and innovation. According to the latest reports, the country has risen 6 places in the global ranking to 74th place — the biggest jump in the region and shows that Azerbaijan has maintained its growth rate for four consecutive years.
Not content with this, Azerbaijan has also become the fastest growing country among the top four countries in Central Asia, with an annual ecosystem growth of more than 24%.
But the real sensation is Baku.
Baku has risen to second place on the technological map of Central Asia, but the highest growth rate in the top three belongs to our capital. The city is already on its way to becoming the new technological hub of the region.
Baku was named the leading city in Central Asia this year in the fields of E-commerce and Retail, Educational Technologies (Edtech), and Social-Entertainment. In addition, the capital also managed to enter the top 100 globally:
- Events – 31st
- Logistics – 65th
- Travel – 71st
- Online Marketplaces – 91st
- SaaS (software as a service) – 95th
In each of these areas, Baku is the city with the highest score in the region.
