The digitalization of service and operational processes at "Azerigaz" will enable subscribers to carry out various transactions without the need for paper documents or visits to service centers.
A significant step has been taken toward digitizing processes in yet another service sector as part of the digital transformation underway in Azerbaijan. The integration of the SIMA digital signature into "Azerigaz" PU’s service and operational workflows has made it possible to sign subscriber contracts digitally.
Citizens can formalize their gas supply applications without visiting a service center by signing contracts via the "mygov" platform using SIMA. This same capability is also available at "ASAN Service" and "ASAN Communal" centers, where gas purchase and sale agreements with both residential and non-residential subscribers are formalized electronically and signed using SIMA.
This new solution simplifies the documentation process, reduces the time required for formalization, and enables subscribers to access services more conveniently. At the same time, the reduction in physical document circulation enables more agile management of “Azəriqaz’s” internal operations, strengthens process oversight, and facilitates electronic document management.
The next phase of cooperation between “Azəriqaz” and “AzInTelecom” envisages expanding the application of digital solutions to other service areas and operational processes.
This innovation is part of ongoing efforts to digitally transform public services in the country. The “Concept of Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan,” approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 16, 2025, identifies the modernization and digital transformation of public services as a key priority.
Integrating the SİMA digital signature into various service sectors not only simplifies citizens' daily transactions but also accelerates the migration of services to the digital environment. “AzInTelecom” will continue to create a more convenient and accessible digital service experience for users by expanding the application areas of SİMA.
