In support of the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025–2028, approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Artificial Intelligence Center (NAIC)—part of AZCON Holding—conducted artificial intelligence literacy training for employees of the State Maritime and Port Agency (SMPA) and the Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA).
The training was tailored to the operational areas and practical work requirements of approximately 60 specialists from various departments across both agencies. The objective was not merely to introduce employees to AI tools but also to explain where, how, and within what limitations this technology should be utilized. Practical exercises and real-world work scenarios enabled the application of the acquired knowledge to daily operations.
The training sessions focused on areas such as crafting effective prompts, data analysis and summarization, document management, optimization of repetitive processes, data security, ethical principles, and personal data protection. The topics were selected to align with the specific operational scope of each department. The initiative supports the Artificial Intelligence Strategy’s objectives of enhancing AI-related talent and skills, as well as strengthening workforce capabilities in AI and data management within government agencies.
The continuous and personalized training model aims to transform AI literacy from general awareness into practical application skills and to foster a culture of conscious, secure, and efficient technology use. Plans are in place to continuously refine the program's content by incorporating participant feedback and addressing the evolving needs of the respective departments.
It should be noted that training on this subject has already been conducted for employees from various departments and agencies within the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Science and Education.
