Bolt has announced the launch of a pilot phase of an innovative initiative to help replace older cars with newer, more environmentally friendly vehicles.
Within the framework of the initiative, car parks will receive financial support in the amount of 3000 manats for the purchase of new cars from Bolt. In return, these fleets must meet certain benchmarks and participate in branding bonus programs.
It was noted that the initiative aims to support the transition of taxi companies and partner drivers to electric and hybrid models, new and more efficient vehicles. The program is aimed at solving important challenges faced by partners and also aligns with the government's concept of modernizing the country's vehicle fleets and promoting sustainable mobility. In addition, this initiative will ensure that many drivers will continue to work and earn an income, as the transition to more modern vehicles will allow them to continue working with ride-hailing services.
As part of the program's pilot phase, Bolt plans to recruit several thousand vehicles by the end of the summer. In the future, the company is considering opportunities to scale up the initiative through partnerships with other stakeholders.
Naim Azizov, the head of Bolt company's travel booking service in Azerbaijan, says: "We see that this program has a great potential in terms of the environment, economy, employment, aesthetics of cities, as well as significant impact on the comfort of citizens and visitors to our country, positive changes we are confident that we will achieve and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future for Azerbaijan."
