New storage accessories
SanDisk and Meta have agreed to develop storage accessories under the Made For Meta brand. The product line will include microSD Express memory cards and USB-C flash drives designed for Meta Quest virtual reality headsets and Meta VR Glasses. The accessories will give users additional space for games and other digital content.
The products are scheduled to launch in spring 2027, alongside the expected arrival of Meta VR Glasses. SanDisk has not yet disclosed the storage capacities, prices or other technical specifications of the upcoming accessories.
According to reports, Meta VR Glasses may feature 128 GB of built-in storage and a microSD card slot. If confirmed, this would make the headset Meta’s first VR device to support expandable storage. Users would be able to increase available space without having to purchase a model with more internal storage.
