Booking.com has confirmed that some users' personal information may have been compromised. It is reported that hackers may have obtained information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers and booking details.

The company said in a notification to users that third parties had access to certain booking data. Some users shared the same warning message on social media. One user even said that he received a phishing message on WhatsApp after the data was stolen.

A company representative said that after the suspicious activity was detected, the problem was brought under control and security measures were strengthened. PIN codes for reservations have been updated and users have been informed. However, it was not disclosed how many people were affected by the incident.

According to the report, financial information and physical addresses were not captured during the leak. Nevertheless, experts advise users to be careful and be wary of suspicious messages.
