OpenAI has acquired personal finance startup Hiro Finance. The company's founder Ethan Bloch made a statement about this. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Hiro Finance will cease operations on April 20, and user data will be completely deleted on May 13. It is reported that the startup's employees will join OpenAI. The company was founded in 2023 and provided an artificial intelligence-based financial planning service. Users could analyze various financial scenarios by entering their income, debts and expenses.
This acquisition is considered more of an "acqui-hire", that is, the main goal is to attract a team rather than technology. It should be noted that Ethan Bloch previously sold the Digit project he created for more than $ 200 million in 2021.
Experts believe that this step is part of OpenAI's strategy to expand the capabilities of artificial intelligence in the field of business and finance.
