Roblox will launch special account types for children starting in June 2026. Under the new system, users will be categorized by age, which will determine which games they can access.
Roblox Kids accounts will be created for children ages 5–9. These accounts will only allow access to games with the lowest age rating. Chat will be disabled by default and will only be enabled with specific users with parental permission.
Roblox Select accounts will be available for users ages 9–15. In this category, games with moderate content will be available, and communication will only be possible with users in the same age group.
Parents will be able to grant access to age-restricted games for children in some cases. Users over 18 will have access to restricted content. The new accounts will be available in June, and during the transition period, users will be able to go through an age verification process.
