Canva, one of the world's leading visual communication platforms, has announced the acquisition of British motion graphics software Cavalry. The company aims to strengthen its position in the professional motion design segment with this step.
According to the information, Cavalry will continue to operate as a standalone product, while its technologies will be integrated into the Canva platform. The acquisition is considered the next strategic step taken by Canva in the direction of professional design tools after the Affinity deal it made last year.
The company has also included MangoAI, a startup working in the field of artificial intelligence-based video advertising optimization, in its portfolio. Canva management says that the goal is to form a faster, more flexible and integrated "creative operating system" for designers.
Currently, Canva has more than 265 million users and the company's annual revenue exceeds $ 4 billion.
