During the discussion of the draft state budget for 2026 at the Milli Majlis, Taleh Kazimov, Chairman of the Central Bank, shared recent statistics from the financial sector. He stated that in the first ten months of this year, the total value of transactions executed through the National Payment Systems reached 663.7 billion AZN, with the total number of transactions amounting to 123 million.
A significant growth trend has also been observed in e-commerce and cashless payments. According to the Central Bank Chairman, compared to the same period last year, the number of e-commerce transactions increased by 46.7%, while their total volume rose by 32.7%. Additionally, the share of cashless domestic card payments increased by 3.8 percentage points, reaching 67.5% compared to the same period in 2024.
