The main source of the problems that threaten the existence of humanity in the modern era is the attempts to disrupt the divine order and the separation of people from their spiritual and moral roots.
Allahshukur Pashazadeh, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), said this at the meeting of the 2026 World Council of the "Religions for Peace" organization on the theme "Building Paths to Joint Blessed Progress".
He stated that the CMI, as a religious center, actively defends this position on all international platforms in the field of interfaith dialogue and cooperation:
"One of the important moments in our time is the penetration of the phenomenon of artificial intelligence into our lives. In the era of the unlimited development of digital technologies, the unlimited spread of these innovations to all areas of our lives creates many complications along with new opportunities. The most important thing in this matter is to observe moral and ethical limits, prevent complications that are likely to arise, and most importantly, give priority to human intelligence when issuing Sharia-religious rulings.
Islam is a progressive religion that promotes science and education. We, religious figures and believers, must also use the opportunities of artificial intelligence. When considering artificial intelligence from the perspective of human rights, an important moment is that the freedom of worship between God and His servant is not impaired during the integration of religious values into artificial intelligence. We, religious figures, must convey this truth to people that Although artificial intelligence is intelligent, it cannot replace humans in worship because it does not have a soul. Artificial intelligence has enormous potential in science, education, technology, medicine, the service sector, production and other fields, and humanity should take advantage of these opportunities".
The Chairman of the CMI brought to the attention of the participants of the international event that the unique model of multiculturalism and interfaith understanding in Azerbaijan is our way of life, the policy of our state and an example of successful coexistence for the whole world. Having fully restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Azerbaijani state is today implementing construction work and population return projects in Karabakh liberated from occupation, eliminating the consequences of ecocide and urbicide, and making real efforts towards peace and progress in the region.
