Cursor acquires Graphite Startup

Cursor, a startup backed by Nvidia, has acquired Graphite, a platform that makes it easier for developers to review each other’s code and fix errors collaboratively. While the financial terms of the deal have not been fully disclosed, Graphite will continue to operate independently for now and retain its existing team. However, both startups plan to combine their capabilities in the near future to deliver a more efficient system for software developers.

With a team of just 30 employees, Graphite is considered one of the most successful startups in recent years. To date, the company has raised $52 million in funding and managed to increase its revenue 20-fold over the past year. Tens of thousands of engineers working at global tech giants such as Shopify, Figma, and Perplexity currently use the platform to work faster and improve code quality.

The primary goal of this acquisition is to simplify developers’ daily workflows. Graphite’s seamless integration with widely used tools like Slack and Jira provides a significant advantage for software engineers, making collaboration and code review more efficient.
