“AzInTelecom” LLC, one of the companies of AZCON Holding, and the Azerbaijan Children’s Fund, the technological fairy tale book titled “SİMA mission” has been officially presented to the public.
The book was developed with the aim of enhancing digital literacy among primary school students, instilling safe internet usage habits, and promoting the correct use of modern technologies. The authors of the publication are Zahra Badalbeyli, a member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union and public figure, and young writer Said Riad. Consisting of three stories — “Getting Acquainted,” “Journey to the Future,” and “Aghali Village” — “SİMA mission” introduces children, in a simple and engaging manner, to digital identification, the role of technology in shaping the future, and Azerbaijan’s smart village concept.
The book presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of various government institutions, cultural figures, and children studying at boarding schools. Delivering the opening speech, advisor to the minister of digital development and transport Rashad Bayramov emphasized the importance of using technology not only as a source of information but also as a means of contributing to society. The event continued with a short theatrical performance by young actors from the “Zafar” Theatre, highlighting the significance of the book.
To make the reading experience more engaging, the book was enriched with illustrations and published by TEAS Press with a print run of 1,500 copies. The publication will be distributed free of charge to primary school students in boarding schools, orphanages, and general education institutions.
