Cybersecurity Directorate established in Turkey by presidential decree

The Cyber ​​Security Presidency, which will be headquartered in Ankara, will have a public legal entity and a special budget. The Presidency will determine policies, strategies and goals to ensure cyber security, prepare action plans, conduct legislative studies and ensure coordination of relevant activities.

The Presidency also aims to conduct awareness-raising, training and awareness-raising activities on cyber security.

The Presidency, which will also provide opinions on incentives to be provided by public institutions and organizations in the field of cyber security, also includes developing the local cyber security ecosystem and conducting studies to enable local entrepreneurs to become competitive in the global market.

Representative offices can be established domestically by the president and abroad by the decision of the president upon the proposal of the president.

The service units of the Presidency will include the General Directorate of Cyber ​​Defense, the General Directorate of Cyber ​​​​Resistance, the General Directorate of Ecosystem Development, the Department of Foreign Relations, the Department of Management Services, the Legal Consultancy and the Press and Public Relations Consultancy.

The presidency, which has been allocated a total of 135 people, will also be able to form working groups with the participation of ministries, public institutions and organizations, professional chambers, non-governmental organizations, private sector representatives and experts on the subject, regarding the issues within its scope of duty.
