Digital Document Circulation represented our country at the UN international award

The subsystem was announced as a finalist at the international awards ceremony.
The Digital Document Circulation subsystem presented by the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development has reached the finals of the "SDG Digital GameChangers" award in the "Planet - Innovation for our Climate and Environment" category.
This award is presented as part of the SDG Digital summit jointly organized by the International Telecommunication Union and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Participating countries demonstrate at this summit how they can contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals with their digital and innovative solutions.
1186 applications were submitted to the competition in 5 existing categories. 20 projects in each category reached the finals. Digital Document Circulation subsystem represented our country as the only finalist selected from Azerbaijan.
Digital Document Circulation minimizes the use of paper by making document exchange between government agencies fully digital. This feature made the subsystem stand out from other projects and made it to the finals of the award.
It should be recalled that the Digital Document Circulation was developed and launched by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA) according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2279 dated August 1, 2023. As part of the implementation of the decree, more than 1700 institutions have been integrated into the subsystem, including state bodies and subordinate sub-institutions. By using the Digital Document Circulation subsystem, more than 500,000 sheets are saved every month with the exchange of documents between institutions.
