Epic Games' lawsuit against Google has been settled, and the court ruled that Google violated US competition laws when it operated the Play Store.
Epic Games has finally won three years after suing Apple and Google for allegedly creating an illegal app store monopoly. The court and jury found that Google had monopoly power in the Android app distribution markets and in-app billing services markets, preventing competition in that market. As a result, Epic was harmed by this behavior.
Google currently plans to appeal the decision.
