Epoint has received an official license from the National Bank of Georgia to provide acquiring services in the country. Thus, Georgia became the first foreign market in the company's international expansion strategy.
According to the company, the Epoint team worked on product adaptation, bank integrations and preparation of necessary legal documents for a year to enter the new market. After the successful completion of the preparatory phase, Epoint started operating in Georgia.
Epoint's partners with business activities in both Azerbaijan and Georgia will now be able to accept online and offline card payments in both countries through a single technical integration.
It should be noted that the Epoint fintech startup previously participated in the “500 Global” international acceleration program, with Georgia as the regional center.
This step is considered the beginning of a broader development path for Epoint. The company congratulates Hasan Hasanov, CEO of Epoint Georgia, on the work done and wishes him success in the new market.
