Ferrari unveils its first fully electric car, the Luce

Ferrari has officially unveiled its first all-electric model, the Luce. The starting price of the five-seater electric supercar is 550,000 euros.

The company worked on the design of the car together with LoveFrom studio, founded by former Apple chief designer Jony Ive, and industrial designer Marc Newson.

The all-wheel drive Ferrari Luce is equipped with four electric motors, one for each wheel. The total power of the car reaches 1,050 horsepower. The model is equipped with a 122 kWh battery.

According to the company, Luce can travel 530 kilometers on a full charge. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and to 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 310 km/h. The model weighs 2,260 kilograms.

The interior of the cabin is made of luxurious leather, recycled aluminum and special glass from Corning. OLED screens were manufactured by Samsung Display. The car's audio system is equipped with 21 speakers and a 24-channel amplifier with a capacity of 3,000 watts.

According to Bloomberg, instead of imitating an artificial engine sound, Ferrari collects the real sounds of electric motors through a special sensor, processes them and amplifies them.

The company has not completely abandoned mechanical buttons. Physical controls for temperature control, seat heating and other basic functions have been retained. The touch screen allows for more detailed control of climate control, multimedia and navigation systems.

Ferrari Luce will go on sale in five different colors and various interior design options. According to WSJ, the starting price of the model in Italy will be 550 thousand euros.
