Gamepons will support the development of the gaming sector in Uzbekistan

IT Park Uzbekistan recently held a meeting with Vusal Karimli, the Co-Founder and CEO of Gamepons, a prominent Azerbaijani company recognized for its contributions to the regional gaming industry. The discussion centered on establishing a strategic partnership to strengthen connections among regional gaming communities and introduce a new regional gaming hackathon brand, Turkic Game Jam.

Gamepons is well-known in Azerbaijan for offering specialized educational programs, workshops, training sessions, and mentorship opportunities for game developers. The company actively supports the establishment of new gaming startups and strengthens the local gaming community, reinforcing Azerbaijan’s position as a global innovation and creativity hub in the gaming sector.

During the meeting, the parties discussed IT Park Uzbekistan's involvement in the *Turkic Game Jam* initiative, designed to unite game developers across Central Asia and support their professional development. They also explored avenues for advancing Uzbekistan’s gaming industry through Gamepons-led projects, such as startup support, educational programs, and creating a favorable environment for international collaboration.

In an exclusive statement to Tech.az Media, Gamepons Co-Founder and CEO Vusal Karimli shared his insights:
"We see immense potential in the Turkic states. I want to specifically highlight the rapid progress of the Uzbekistani ecosystem in recent years. Our meeting with IT Park Uzbekistan reinforced this belief. We have already agreed on two key areas of collaboration: organizing the Turkic Game Jam and contributing to the development of Uzbekistan’s gaming ecosystem. Gamepons is committed to working closely with IT Park Uzbekistan to foster the growth of the local ecosystem. Combining our strengths is a significant step forward for both sides, and I am confident we will achieve remarkable successes and milestones together.”

Both parties emphasized the importance of joint efforts to promote GameDev startups across the Central Asian region. They discussed creating platforms that facilitate knowledge exchange and professional growth. The meeting concluded with initial steps outlined for IT Park Uzbekistan’s involvement in the project and the development of a long-term strategy to nurture gaming communities across the region.

This collaboration marks an important step in strengthening the gaming industry in Central Asia and fostering innovation and cooperation among nations in the Turkic region.
