Garry Tan, director of Y Combinator, believes that the TechCrunch Disrupt event has lost its quality and is now a waste of time. He shared his opinion on his X (Twitter) account:

“TechCrunch Disrupt is a waste of time, and I don’t understand why anyone goes there.”
Prominent investor Anish Acharya from a16z also agreed with Tan’s view. The statement sparked widespread discussion among followers – some agreed with Tan, while many others criticized him.
TechCrunch Disrupt was first held in 2010 and has become one of the world’s most prestigious technology events. Over the years, the event has hosted many well-known CEOs, including Pavel Durov, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, Travis Kalanick, Brian Chesky, and others.
